Acknowledgement & THank you

Edmond would like to acknowledge the teaching, guidance, mentoring advice and supports in the satisfying art journey since Oct 2016:

  • Colin Polwarth, one of the best urban designers/architects in the world (based in Sydney), a wonderful friend and my art mentor
  • Eddy Chan, an artist, a professional musician and song writer in Hong Kong, my ex-band friend back in late 80s when our friendship was founded in forming a rock band
  • Richard Leung, a professional civil engineer in Hong Kong, a great painter and dearest friend
  • Barbara Duckworth, my very first art teacher of Royal Art Society of NSW, Lavender Bay, North Sydney, in 2017.  Barbara is specialised in bontanical drawing and painting, and is a wonderful teacher
  • Ann, my wife and art companion

It was an extraordinary experience to exhibit a few pieces at the Royal Art Society of NSW at the 2017 year end student exhibition.  Even more surprising was the winner of the First Prize of the exhibition selected and presented by the President of the art school, Greg Hansell.  This achievement would not have been made without the abovementioned friends and mentors.

One Sunday morning, Ann was enjoying her garden and cut some adorable cameilla flowers.  It was impossible to let the beautiful moment slipping past.  Quickly grabbed what I had, ie paper and charcoal pencil, to sketch it as fast as possible.  The pleasant feeling was already incredible, let alone the subsequent surprise win.
